01 / THE ORIGIN STORY
WRAPPER™ was built by two shawarma obsessives, frustrated by a broken London market.
We travelled to live, eat and benchmark the world's most uncompromising shawarma cultures: Turkey (our main inspiration), Oman, the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Azerbaijan, Kuwait and the UK.
What we learned is that "shawarma" isn't one thing. It changes with every border: thick Turkish breads to paper-thin Saj, deep overnight marinades, fillings that range from the world-famous Turkish Doner to Levantine garlic-and-pickle classics.
So we built WRAPPER for the way London actually eats now: a delivery-first kitchen in E2, hand-stacking 100% Halal certified chicken thigh daily, caramelised to order, and engineered around a single idea: The Shawarma You Deserve.
